This alpha is not based on any font. Welcome to db Designs. My name is Diana Burton and I'm a digiholic! I began digi-scrapping about ten years ago when I got my first digital camera. I had friends who were scrapping traditionally, and although I loved the look of the work they were turning out, I was turned of by all the cutting and pasting, all the different scissors and cutters, all the different papers and elements, and all the space these things would take up in my already cluttered home. I tuned in on the words "cutting" and "pasting". Hmmm, that is something that can be done on my computer--so I opened up the photo editing software that came with my camera and my addiction was born. All of my "paper", "ribbons", "lace", "fabrics", "elements", "scissors", "glue", etc, are all stored in one small space--the hard drive on my computer. For me, digital scrapbooking is a way to preserve the past for future generations. How frustrating is it to go through Grandma's photo album only to discover that you don't recognize anyone and dear Grandma never had the foresight to write any of the information down! For my son's high school graduation I made him an album titled "The Life & Times of Ian Burton (from birth to graduation) that chronicles his life from the day he was born until the day he graduated. In the future, his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren and beyond, will be able to go through this album and gain insights into his personality, his attitudes, his likes and dislikes, etc., that they might not be able to get anywhere else. I am currently working on a heritage album that chronicles my own family history as far back as my great-great-great grandfather. I jokingly refer to this as The Never Ending Story because of the scope of the project, but in the long run, I feel it will have been well worth the effort.
Whether you are a traditional scrapbooker or a digi-scrapper I believe it is important to scrap not only the special occasions in your life, but the ordinary moments as well.
